Okay, here’s the most obscure reference I could think of. The “Special Guest Star” actually comes from the show Lost In Space. In the pilot for that show, the devious Dr. Smith was supposed to die at the end of the episode. But the producers changed the ending to keep Dr. Smith aboard the Jupiter II. Jonathan Harris, who played Dr. Smith, agreed on one condition: He would always be billed as a “Special Guest Star.” And he was. For the entire run of the series. It certainly made him stand out.

In which our hero wants to deal with his enemies just by looking at them.
Some ideas you do just for yourself. Actually, everything in a webcomic you do for yourself. And I like drawing goofy expressions on Rooster. Also, I haven’t done a “Sunday-style” strip since I went back to the strict 3 times a week format. Which is how today’s strip turned out the way it did.
There are a lot of Doctor X’s to be found, but the title of this one is drawn from the old SCTV show (“Doctor X… The Man with the X-ray Eyes!”)
I had paragraphs of other stuff to go with this, but there’s really no point, is there?

This is one of those gags that I’ve had rattling around in my head for some time. It started with a story about someone who did… well, bad things because they claimed voices in their head told them to. My immediate reaction was, are they sure they heard the voices correctly? (And how come the voices in your head never tell you to give to the poor or something?)
