Lots of you (okay, one of you) have wondered when Rooster and Gahan would meet. I’m not sure you’re going to get a complete answer soon, but… now they’ve met.

I liked the way this week’s strips turned out. Not perfect, but I’ve been trying to streamline the process of turning the strips out. As anyone who does this can tell you, that’s a very difficult thing to do.

I love doing this, but the amount of time it takes makes continuing to do it kind of a problem. The strip has evolved over time. I’ve gone from doing:

…A regular black and white strip 3x weekly with a Sunday-style color strip every other week…

…To a color strip 3x weekly…

…To a color strip with Sunday-style dimensions 3x weekly…

Each of these “evolutions” has helped the quality overall, but they’ve added to the time it takes to do them. This is the common lament of the webcomic artist, I guess, but I’ve been trying to decide how to keep doing this without spending every waking moment at it. I haven’t decided exactly what the solution is yet, but it’s obvious I need to build up some kind of buffer. I’m still thinking about how I’m going to accomplish that. I’ll get back to you…
