This episode comes from a Twitter exchange I had with @jynksiecomics of the Madbury webcomic(http://www.jynksiecomics.com)about the fact that Thanksgiving and Christmas have basically become one long seasonal holiday(#ChristmasWon). In thinking about it, December really is all Christmas. But there is that period from Halloween to the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) where Thanksgiving is celebrated, even while everyone is gearing up for the Christmas season.
So this strip is about some of the ways that this “combination holiday season” might be celebrated. So what are some of the other ways to celebrate Thanksmas? What customs might we adapt that combine giving thanks and getting gifts?
Happy Merry Thanksmas, everybody! And remember to drink responsibly (which I think means drink heavily but don’t drive.)
