This is kinda a two-part strip. Part 1 is Kat’s determination to feel the joy of the season. Part 2 is Ryan’s confidence in Santa. It’s entirely possible that both of them will end up disillusioned at some point.
Also, I know it’s not proper form to laugh at your own jokes, but I did like Kat’s line in panel 2.
