It’s just not the same anymore is it? It’s the same way with The Wizard Of Oz. Sure, I can watch it anytime I want, all in HD quality, and 5.1 surround sound, but it seemed so magical coming from an old 27″ Zenith that weighed 300 lbs. And the broadcast was loaded with commercials. There’s something to be said for anticipation. Aahh, the good old days.

Yeah, I remember when it was on once a year, and hosted by Dick Van Dyke… Hey wait a second! You had a 27″ tv screen? Were you guys the Rockefellers or something?

Haha!!! The screen? No, the whole TV was 27″ tall. It was on a rickety old TV stand. Man that thing really hurt when it fell on you. Merry Christmas.
